I got stopped cold in the middle of a highly disorganized duck parade -- there wasn't even a grand marshal or a single float sponsored by a major alcohol brand -- but I was driving west on First Avenue through the area left completely bare by and still undeveloped since the 2008 flood and suddenly there were about 30 ducks waddling blithely and recklessly around my car. And by the time I'd made sure I hadn't squashed any of them and then realized I was missing a great photo op, they were off to cause civic disruption to eastbound traffic. You could say they ducked for cover. But that would be totally on you;
I'D never make a pun so cheap that nobody would pay the bill.
ADDENDUM: It has come to my attention that the waterfowl (roadfowl?) pictured above are geese and not ducks, as previously reported. But I'm a very busy man with very important things filling my very important life so I simply do not have time to concept, focus-group and roll out new goose puns in an attempt to update the copy. I apologize if this decision ruffles any feathers.
