Kolaches at the finish line!

It's not an official Cedar Rapids event anywhere near NewBo or Czech Village -- like this morning's Mt. Trashmore 5K -- without a table covered in free kolaches. The cherry ones are particularly delicious today.

It took longer for me to figure out how to post this through my running app than for me to run the entire Mt. Trashmore 5K.

Halfway!

This is the view from the top of Mt. Trashmore! The downtown bridges are beautiful but too hard to photograph from this distance -- especially with this freakishly bright sun in my eyes. 1.5 miles to go!

Ain't no mountain

We're 6 minutes away from running the Mt. Trashmore 5K. But the sun is so bright I can't tell if this is a good picture of me. Please squint when you look at it. For your own protection.
